A Visit to Moderna Muséet

We managed one photo at least before we were told off by the people who worked at the museum... For Denise's sake I'll write about her here: DENISE DENISE DENISE. :) Happy now? :D

Dali, Dali, Daliiiii!

The Dali exhibit at Moderna Muséet was awesome. I was happy to have gone there with my friends. I went there with Sannaz, Konkordia and Denise. Great to see them again since school ended!

Moderna Muséet had loads of interesting exhibits, of course the Dali being the one most talked about. Most artworks there exhibited abstract concepts, being those in the genre surrealism my favourite.

I don't know why, but surrealism really grasps me. Especially Dali's works, he's one of my favourite painters. I like trying to understand what the painter was thinking when he/she painted it, and what message he/she's trying to send to us. Surrealism though, is an extra hard riddle to try and crack, that in the end there are no real explanations. Therefore, by looking at a painting, especially a surrealistic painting such as Dali's, is like trying to solve a puzzle. Finding explanations and hypotheses for oneself. I've always enjoyed problem-solving, making art museum visits a joy to me, which I guess also adds to why I like being at school with my science-related subjects. It's always a joy to discover and see what the human mind can come up with!

After the museum, when my mom came home she came to me with a Christmas Card adressed to yours truly. I really wondered who it could be from, thinking it to be from Denise, Konkordia or someone else. When I opened it, I saw that it was a greeting from one of my teachers at school, our Pavlovian Head of House. I was touched by the greeting, it making my day. It was like the "icing of the cake" or the "pricken på i:et". Yes, it was a very nice day today, despite the cold!
