It's the thought that counts!

My probable last Christmas gift this year... is broken. xD

Apparently, as I was about to receive my present from a friend (Rambo), he dropped it and yes, it broke. One word, fail. Funny, nonetheless!

Anyway, it's the thought that matters. I was touched to receive yet another gift! Unexpected really. The fact that it was broken made me appreciate it more, since now it has a story behind it!

Items with an interesting story behind creates an expensive sentimental value, more valuable than its original material price, don't you think? Despite how useless it may be. I remember when I was a child in the Philippines, I was at the dentist with our nanny since my mom was busy working. I was to get my first tooth ever to be pulled out! My mom arrived a little bit later after my dentist appointment wondering, where was my tooth that was recently pulled out? Naturally, it was thrown away. Who would keep such a thing? Well, apparently my mom wanted to keep it. Through her eyes, that single tooth was of very high sentimental value.

We returned to my dentist, my mom asking if she could get my tooth. The dentist then replied, that it was thrown away. My mom being so stubborn, wanted it so badly she asked for the trash. Despite how odd as the request may sound like, we did get that trash bag. My nanny, mom and I then returned home and started going through all those teeth pulled out during the day on the livingroom floor. It was hard work (as you can imagine) and all those teeth came in all different shapes and sizes - LITERALLY. There were werewolf-like teeth, rotten teeth (BLÄÄH) and other horrid things, enough for me to remember them until now. After a few hours of searching, we sadly didn't find it (fail). At least we tried!
